About Ashley

Ashley is an accredited trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as an American Council of Exercise Fitness Instructor. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut in Allied Health Sciences where she concentrated on Public Health and Psychology. Ashley was a former athlete in track and field, soccer, tennis, and college rugby.  


 


Her coaching method focuses on helping people find peace with their bodies and find joy in movement and nutrition. Ashley experienced first hand the negative impact of diet culture and fitness misinformation. She witnessed many of her family members struggle with diabetes and other metabolic diseases. From these experiences, she found it important to educate herself on research backed methods to help others navigate the complexities of health and wellness. She focuses on helping clients find balance in their routines as they move towards a sustainable healthy lifestyle. 


 


 


Currently, Ashley is a graduate student at UC Berkeley pursuing a Masters in Public Health Nutrition. In her coaching, she combines her knowledge in nutrition, fitness, and psychology to better support her clients. She believes workouts should be fun, safe, and sustainable. Her clients describe her as warm, uplifting, energetic, and determined. Ashley loves working with people who want to gain strength, those new to fitness, and seniors.

My client after working with me for a few months was able to deadlift 150 pounds using barbells when they started with 10 pounds originally.

Ashley took the time to help me understand why we were doing each move and gave great explanations for each exercise. She is a warm uplifting person and I enjoyed training with her. I always look forward to our sessions because I get a great workout in and always learn new things.

Five months later, we're doing personal training sessions three times a week and I absolutely love this! I'm getting stronger, loosing weight, and feel great! Ashley brings joy, motivation, and laughter to something I thought I probably wouldn't like at all.
